FR9000 Voluntary
Many of our customers have chosen to install the Voluntary Unit as a preventative tool for themselves, their family members, or their business to help ensure safety and avoid ever being faced with a very costly, potentially dangerous and embarrassing situation.
This alternative is much less restrictive than traditional sanctions for driving under the influence (DUI) or while intoxicated (DWI), and helps individuals, families and businesses maintain their livelihood by preventing alcohol related driving violations.
The Voluntary Unit is purchase only.
- Easy to read digital display
- Sleek design
- Built in motion detector helps prevent violations due to missed rolling retests
- Key pad to enter lock-out codes in emergencies
- Battery back-up preserves history and helps prevent violations due to missing data
- National Highway Safety Transportation Association (NHSTA) approved
- Optional light kit for individuals with a hearing impairment or for use on motorcycle installations – this feature includes a light display mounted on the dashboard or instrument panel that flashes when a rolling retest is required.
- When the ignition is turned on the system prompts the driver to provide a breath sample.
- The driver is required to provide a deep lung breath sample lasting 4 - 6 seconds.
- Within a few seconds the device analyzes the BrAC (breath alcohol content) level and the driver is informed whether the breath sample passes and the vehicle can be started.
- The system records all test data-both initial and rolling retests, as well as any attempt to tamper with the unit. The information recorded is both downloadable and printable.
